The Winners’ Association was established in 2017 to support children who have overcome cancer through a unique, integrated sports initiative in Hungary, where young survivors, their healthy peers, and children with physical challenges play and compete together.
This inclusive sports program fosters mutual understanding, respect, and solidarity among all participants, creating a shared space where differences become strengths.
Following the success of our first event in 2018, we expanded our mission by launching “Wanderers”, an innovative cultural-therapy program, introduced for the first time in Hungary. Implemented in hospitals and healthcare institutions, the program enables us to support children undergoing active treatment.
“Wanderers” transforms hospital stays into virtual journeys across cultures and nations, where children discovering languages, traditions, and stories regain curiosity, build hope for a global and inclusive future, and find the courage to dream beyond illness.
By bringing interactive cultural journeys directly into hospitals, our program ensures that children, regardless of their health condition, background, or nationality, can experience global cultures and feel connected to the wider world through engaging audio-visual presentations, storytelling and language discovery.
Through the joy and engagement of our sports and cultural programs, we create inclusive environments where participants discover that diversity is not a barrier to fear, but a source of opportunity, cooperation, and mutual respect, an inspiration for us all.
